This medical device is indicated for the removal of leukocytes from a pool of 5-6 units (maximum 300ml) of random donor platelets or the equivalent amount of apheresis produced platelets during blood transfusion at patient's bedside.

It can effectively prevent ineffective platelet transfusion, leukocyte carrying virus infection and other blood transfusion reactions.
